Currier & Martin formed in 1996 in Houston, Texas as a general civil law practice, and has been serving the needs of clients effectively throughout the State of Texas. Our primary focus of practice is in the areas of; Divorce & Family Law, Personal Injury, Business Law, Collections & Contracts, Real Estate, Wills & Probate and Commercial Litigation.

John Currier and Ernest Martin have known each other since childhood, both having grown up at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. As roommates at the University of Nebraska College of Law, John and Ernest continually talked of the legal practice they would one day form and continued those discussions throughout the years as each headed off in their own direction. While Ernest pursued a career in the insurance industry, John established a solo practice in Houston in 1993.  In 1996, the time came for the “discussions” to end and the practice to begin.

John Currier and Ernest Martin have found their niche.  While both attorneys handle personal injury, collections and contracts, John has developed business and corporate expertise while Ernest has devoted much attention to the Family Law arena.  Currier & Martin have kept their practice small so that clients deal with the attorney they hire, not an inexperienced associate as is common with larger firms.
